Placido Pasini was born in Veneto in 1936 and moved to Milan when he was only 15 years old. He met a shoes pattern maker and he attended his studio every night to learn this new art.
He did his best and after having attended some courses, he realized that shoes were his future.
When he was only 18 he received the offer to work as a pattern maker for Bata, in Switzerland, where he discovered all shoes secrets.
Later, he became the supervisor of 200 people that worked in a shoe factory in Vigevano (Italy) and finally he moved to Castelnuovo Scrivia.
At the beginning of 1960s he decided to set up his own business in Castelnuovo Scrivia and he started with the production of shoes for leader italian brands.
Ten years later, thanks to his far-sightedness, he decided to produce leather clothing, following the 70s trend. He realized that leather could replace tissue pretty well and he created original coats and clothes.
In the 1980s, the sum of these experiences led him to produce bags. A rising branch in which Pasini is still working now
He created his own brand distributed all over Italy and he produced on behalf of a third party for one of the well known french brands.
Nowadays, the second generation is headed by Placido’s son, Pier Maurizio who took the first steps among leather products when he was still a child. He went on, keeping the tradition but adding sophisticated technologies to a meticulous “MADE IN ITALY” craftsmanship.
